The purpose of this project is to demolish some elements to recover the original residential use of the property at the request of the owners and, to this end, to
provide all the rooms with the minimum conditions of habitability required.
According to the cadastre, the building was built in 1929 and its use was residential. There are no plans for the original construction project, however, it can be
deduced that the original building is composed only of Volume I, given its construction typology, its geometry and structure, clearly differentiated from the
annexes. In 1984 the use was changed from residential-housing to restaurant, while in 1997 it was transformed into a bar, a use that it has maintained to this day.
Currently, the property is made up of the original and main building (Volume I), which is developed in the basement, ground and first floors. It is home to the bar’s
dining rooms, storage room and public toilets. On the other hand, the annexed volumes, developed only on the ground floor (8-13), are intended for the bar
kitchens, dining rooms, toilets and storage room.
In this project, only part of the space formed by 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, which appear in the planimetry, is intervened, increasing the surface area of the courtyard
and freeing the building from its annexes, with the exception of Volume II (13).
In this project, intervention is carried out exclusively by freeing the building from most of its annexes and increasing the surface area of the courtyard of the house
